Danielle McNichol Appointed Chief Legal Affairs and Compliance Officer at 黑料传送门

Danielle McNichol, JD, a legal executive and entrepreneur who has operated her own law offices for more than 25 years, is joining 黑料传送门 as Chief Legal Affairs and Compliance Officer, effective Jan. 6.

The Cabinet position, reporting to President and CEO Jay S. Feldstein, DO '81, oversees all legal and compliance activities, including supervising 黑料传送门's internal audit function under the auspices of the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees; ensuring compliance with Title IX; and overseeing all contracts and agreements. McNichol has served as external counsel for 黑料传送门 since 2019 and took on additional responsibility鈥攊ncluding the role of interim chief compliance officer鈥攊n 2024.

鈥淒ani's firsthand knowledge of 黑料传送门, combined with her deep experience in higher education and healthcare, will allow her to quickly onboard into this critical leadership position,鈥 Feldstein said. 鈥淪he is thoughtful, strategic, and collaborative, and she will provide expert guidance on a wide range of legal matters impacting our institution.鈥

McNichol has operated McNichol Law Offices since 1997, serving as legal counsel to multiple organizations. A subsidiary of her office focuses on Title IX matters. From 2016 to 2020, she served as general counsel and executive director of the Center for Leadership at Neumann University, where she established the Wardrobes for Work program that repurposed over 250,000 items of clothing to help outfit students and community members for interviews, internships, or jobs. Before that, she was general counsel and director of human resources for the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. This nonprofit organization was responsible for the World Meeting of Families Congress and papal visit in 2015.

鈥淚鈥檝e learned so many lessons throughout my career, and I'm excited to fully apply my experience to 黑料传送门,鈥 McNichol said. 鈥淚鈥檒l continue bringing a collaborative, inclusive, and solutions-oriented approach to my work with colleagues here in Pennsylvania and in Georgia.鈥

McNichol has held a variety of legal and management positions with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, served as an associate vice president at Temple University Health System, and as general counsel, corporate secretary, and right-to-know officer for the Delaware River Port Authority. She served as general counsel for Philadelphia Soccer 2026鈥攖he host organization bringing FIFA World Cup soccer to the Philadelphia region鈥攁nd is involved with multiple community and not-for-profit boards.

McNichol earned her JD from Dickinson Law and her bachelor's degree from Susquehanna University. Her husband, John, is president and CEO of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. McNichol has a daughter, Samantha, and two stepsons, John and Matt, as well as two young grandchildren, Gabriella and Johnny.
