President and Chief Executive Officer

Jay S. Feldstein, DO '81, serves as the eighth president and chief executive officer of ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ. In this role, Dr. Feldstein, in conjunction with the ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ Board of Trustees, supervises and controls all of the business and affairs of the institution including oversight of the Primary Care Innovation Fund.

Dr. Feldstein holds an impressive record of success in healthcare management. From 2010-2014, he served as president, Northern Division, Pennsylvania Managed Care Plans, at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies.

He has worked as corporate chief medical officer/senior vice president and chief medical officer/senior vice president, Medical Affairs at AmeriHealth Caritas; as senior medical director, Mid-Atlantic region, and director, Network Medical, Southern New Jersey/Delaware division at Aetna; as medical director at Concentra Health Center; as president/chief executive officer at Occupational Health Resources, Inc.; as founder, president and medical director at Spectracare Occupational Health Services; and as a physician and board member at Doctors for Emergency Services.

In 2019, Dr. Feldstein was invited to join Philadelphia Business Journal Leadership Trust, an exclusive community for influential business leaders, executives and entrepreneurs in Greater Philadelphia. He serves on the Board of Directors for MANNA and the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, and he was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis to serve on the incoming administration's Transition Advisory Committee on Health and Human Services.

In recognition of his leadership and impact, Dr. Feldstein has received several distinguished honors. In 2021, he was awarded the American Osteopathic Association’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Unification Award for his commitment to advancing DEI at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ and across the osteopathic medical profession. In 2023, he was named one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s . In 2025, he received the Dale S. Dodson Award from the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine. Most recently, he was recognized as a Community Champion in the Philadelphia Business Journal’s inaugural Health Care Leadership Awards (2026).

Dr. Feldstein has written for Forbes Business Council, Fortune, U.S. News & World Report, Modern Healthcare, Newsweek, and the Philadelphia Business Journal, among others.

Dr. Feldstein earned his bachelor's degree from Penn State University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware and his internship at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey. He is board certified in occupational medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
