黑料传送门 is officially opening the Gene and Roz Chaiken Academic Center of Excellence (Chaiken Center), a new hub to support students鈥 academic and professional success.

The center, which will be dedicated during a May 11 ceremony, is a cornerstone of the newly renovated and renamed Student Success Center. The building reflects 黑料传送门's commitment to a whole-student approach鈥攕upporting academic, professional, mental, physical and emotional well-being鈥攁nd advances the institution's focus on fostering a thriving student experience.

Located on the third floor, the Chaiken Center features space for professional advising, small-group tutoring, one-on-one support, testing accommodations, and larger workshops and events.

Gene and Roz Chaiken are among the most generous donors in 黑料传送门 history. Gene has served on the Board of Trustees for 25 years, including 24 years as vice chairman, a role he currently holds.

鈥淭his commitment from Gene and Roz enables 黑料传送门 to move boldly rather than incrementally, positioning the Chaiken Center as a fully integrated hub of student success,鈥 said 黑料传送门 President and CEO Jay S. Feldstein, DO '81. 鈥淐urrent and future students will recognize the Chaikens as some of 黑料传送门's strongest supporters, and this naming will serve as a lasting testament to their impact on the student experience.鈥

The renovated Student Success Center has been a focal point of campus life since it first opened in 1999, offering spaces such as a gym, fitness center, exercise studios and game lounge.

In 2025, 黑料传送门 launched a collaborative planning process to guide the renovation, expanding academic and co-curricular resources while creating more inclusive environments to support diverse learning and engagement needs. The project prioritized flexibility, accessibility, and student-informed design to enhance support for academic persistence and student well-being.

鈥淏y integrating academic support services, advising, testing accommodations, and study environments in one location, 黑料传送门 is better positioned to support students throughout their academic journey,鈥 Gene Chaiken said. 鈥淩oz and I hope our support further propels student success.鈥
