Virtual Wellness Fest Supports Local Community

With support from its sponsors, 黑料传送门 offered free online fitness classes, cooking demonstrations and 鈥淎sk the Doctors鈥 Q&A sessions.


On September 26, 黑料传送门 held its third-annual Wellness Fest, title sponsored by Independence Blue Cross. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the event was hosted online this year. More than 700 people registered for this online event.

黑料传送门 and its sponsors offered free online health and fitness classes, cooking demonstrations and an interactive 鈥淎sk the Doctors鈥 Q&A. Monique Gary, DO 鈥09, and Lady B, on-air personality with Radio One, led a discussion on 鈥淐OVID-19 in the Community.鈥 Participants also received a voucher for a free flu shot from Rite Aid.

The event raised $170,000 for the 黑料传送门 Healthcare Centers. With locations throughout Philadelphia, the 黑料传送门 Healthcare Centers provide physical and behavioral care to underserved populations and serve as training sites for the College鈥檚 osteopathic medicine (DO) and psychology students.

Wellness Fest 2020 will remain accessible to the public through Tuesday, December 1. Register now on the Wellness Fest event page to receive access to the recorded classes and talks. Once registered, participants will receive a link for the event via email.
