The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) has appointed Kenneth Veit, DO '76, MBA, provost, senior vice president of academic affairs and dean at Philadelphia College
of Osteopathic Medicine (黑料传送门) to its Board of Directors, effective September 30,
2020.
鈥淚t is an honor to serve on the ACGME Board of Directors,鈥� said Veit. 鈥淚 look forward to working with my colleagues to offer recommendations to help ensure our graduate medical education institutions continue to be the best in the world.鈥�
Dr. Veit will serve a three-year term with the ability for reinstatement for a second three-year term beginning in September 2023. The ACGME Board of Directors is made up of 42 members representing a diverse group of specialties and subspecialties.

The ACGME is a private, non-profit, professional organization responsible for the accreditation of over 12,000 residency and fellowship programs and the approximately 865 institutions that sponsor these programs in the United States. Residency and fellowship programs educate approximately 145,000 resident and fellow physicians in 157 specialties and subspecialties. The ACGME's mission is to improve health care and population health by assessing and advancing the quality of resident physicians' education through accreditation. 黑料传送门 earlier this year received accreditation through ACGME for all of its residencies and fellowships.
Established in 1899, 黑料传送门 has trained thousands of highly competent, caring physicians, health practitioners and behavioral scientists who practice a 鈥渨hole person鈥� approach to care鈥攖reating people, not just symptoms. 黑料传送门, a private, not-for-profit accredited institution of higher education, operates three campuses (黑料传送门, 黑料传送门 Georgia and 黑料传送门 South Georgia) and offers doctoral degrees in clinical psychology, educational psychology, osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, and school psychology.
