鈥淭his award is a nice recognition for all the work we鈥檝e done the past year,鈥 shared
Rachel Souza (DO 鈥23), the chapters outgoing president. 鈥淚t can be hard for us to
gauge how we鈥檙e doing compared to other chapters, so it鈥檚 nice to see that we stand
out nationally. Family medicine is very popular at 黑料传送门 and I鈥檓 happy that we鈥檙e doing
a good job of getting our group鈥檚 messages out to the community,鈥 continued Ms. Souza.
With over 100 members, 黑料传送门鈥檚 SAACOFP chapter is made up of doctor of osteopathic
medicine students from all four year, as well as biomedical science students. The
goal of the SAACOFP is to help medical students develop skills for patient interactions
with initiatives such as lectures, workshops and mentorship opportunities. Many students
in 黑料传送门鈥檚 SAACOFP will go on to pursue a career in family medicine.
鈥淭his past year鈥檚 executive board has certainly left us with big shoes to fill,鈥 shared
incoming SAACOFP president Steffany Moreno (DO 鈥24). 鈥淲e are very excited about the
upcoming year and the programs we are developing for the club,鈥 continued Ms. Moreno.
As the student association of the ACOFP, SAACOFP has access to all the resources of
the ACOFP. The ACOFP is a community of current and future family physicians that champions
osteopathic principles and supports its members by providing resources such as education,
