黑料传送门 Psychological Services (PPS) has recently expanded access to pediatric behavioral and school-based mental health care through new and enhanced clinical offerings. These services provide comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation and consultation to support children's learning, behavior and emotional well-being across home and school environments.
Led by faculty experts in the College's Department of School Psychology, the pediatric behavioral program emphasizes early identification of individual needs and the translation of assessment findings into practical, coordinated approaches for families, educators and clinicians.
鈥淓arly, accurate assessment and collaborative intervention can significantly improve children's academic and emotional outcomes,鈥� said Jessica Glass Kendorski, PhD, NCSP, BCBA-D, chair of 黑料传送门's Department of School Psychology. 鈥淭hese services help families and schools better understand learning and behavior challenges and respond with individualized, effective strategies.鈥�
黑料传送门 provides pediatric behavioral and school-based psychology care for parents, caregivers, teachers and school systems, with support delivered in school settings, at home or at the located in Rowland Hall on the Philadelphia campus. Areas of focus include school-based mental health support, consultation with parents and educators, functional behavior assessment, and guidance related to Individualized Education Plans.
These evaluations clarify the factors influencing a child's behavior and learning and guide individualized intervention planning. When appropriate, education will be offered to parents or school staff to support consistent implementation across settings. Additional skill and functioning evaluations include assessing communication, daily living skills and adaptive behavior to inform educational placement and intervention decisions.
鈥淎ssessment is often the bridge between concern and action,鈥� said Kate Tresco, PhD, a professor in the Department of School Psychology and primary supervisor of the pediatric behavioral services. 鈥淥ur role is to help families and schools make sense of complex information and translate it into practical, coordinated support that aligns with a child's everyday environment.鈥�
The pediatric behavioral services operate under the oversight of Jessica Glass Kendorski, PhD, NCSP, BCBA-D, chair of the Department of School Psychology, with clinical leadership provided by Kate Tresco, PhD, Sofia Pham, PhD, NCSP, and Amanda Guld Fisher, PhD, BCBA-D, in the Department of School Psychology.
