On Friday, March 18, 黑料传送门 hosted a ribbon-cutting celebration for the new healthcare center. Conveniently located on City Avenue, this newly-renovated space includes fifteen exam rooms and a dedicated space for mental health services.
鈥淔or so many of us here at the College, Family Medicine at 黑料传送门 stands as a model of hope and healing,鈥� shared Jay Feldstein, DO '81, President and CEO, 黑料传送门. 鈥淥ur expanded and reimagined space was realized through a $3.5 million dollar College investment and a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant. It emboldens our work to provide patients in the Philadelphia community with access to quality care while addressing social determinants of health and healthcare disparities,鈥� continued Dr. Feldstein.
The event also included 黑料传送门 speakers Kenneth Veit, DO '78, Provost, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean, and Kristine Kim (DO '23), who spoke on the importance of Family Medicine at 黑料传送门 as a training facility for the next generation of physicians.
Derek Barkley, a longtime patient of Family Medicine at 黑料传送门 also spoke at the event. 鈥淚 have been a patient here for over 20 years,鈥� shared Mr. Barkley. 鈥淚 can say that a DO saved my life.鈥�
With a focus on quality and accessibility of health care for patients, Family Medicine at 黑料传送门 offers a variety of healthcare services, including family medicine, geriatrics, gynecology, osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM), pediatrics, and psychology.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, attendance for this event was limited. In alignment with the current guidelines for healthcare centers from the City of Philadelphia, all participants, guests were required to wear masks, as well as follow social distancing guidelines.
