Memory Center at 黑料传送门 to Advance Care for Cognitive Decline

Recognizing the growing need for compassionate, evidence-based memory care, 黑料传送门 has established a Memory Center to serve those in the community seeking answers and
support in the face of cognitive challenges.
brings together an interdisciplinary approach combining the expertise of neuroscientists
with the clinical disciplines of geriatric medicine, clinical psychology and gerontological
nursing to enable accurate diagnosis, patient-centered treatment planning, and proactive
advance care strategies to improve outcomes for patients and their families.
鈥淭his new center represents a significant step forward in advancing 黑料传送门's mission of providing exceptional, patient-centered care while addressing a critical gap in
our community,鈥 said Katherine Galluzzi, DO, CMD, FACOFP DIST., chair of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine and director of the Memory Center at
黑料传送门. 鈥淲ith nearly seven million people in the U.S. affected by Alzheimer's disease,
we are proud to offer new services that detect early identification of cognitive decline
so that accurate diagnosis and appropriate next steps in treatment can be initiated.鈥

From comprehensive memory assessments to ongoing follow-up appointments, every client
at the Memory Center will benefit from a seamless and supportive care journey with
services ranging from in-depth cognitive evaluations, personalized treatment strategies,
ongoing medical and psychological support and referrals to specialized resources within
the community.
Located in Rowland Hall on 黑料传送门's Philadelphia Campus, the center is designed with comfort in mind and includes dedicated break areas,
visit pacing tailored to reduce cognitive fatigue, and practical intake forms for
both patients and caregivers to help create a welcoming atmosphere.
By addressing both medical and emotional needs, this center aims to ease the burden
of memory-related concerns, reduce stigma, and ensure that patients and their families
never feel alone and empower them at every step of their care journey.
Following the National Institute on Aging-Alzheimer鈥檚 Association (AD NIA-AA) guidelines
and working alongside 黑料传送门's Center for Chronic Disorders of Aging (CCDA) and the , the Memory Center at 黑料传送门 will also ensure the latest research and best practices
inform every aspect of care.
The Memory Center will be open for appointments every Thursday from 8:30am-12:00pm
with all appointment requests and questions to be sent to memorycenter@pcom.edu.
Established in 1899, 黑料传送门 has trained
thousands of highly competent, caring physicians, health practitioners and behavioral
scientists who practice a 鈥渨hole person鈥 approach to care鈥攖reating people, not just
symptoms. 黑料传送门, a private, not-for-profit accredited institution of higher education,
operates three campuses (黑料传送门, 黑料传送门 Georgia and 黑料传送门 South Georgia) and offers doctoral degrees in clinical psychology, educational psychology, osteopathic
medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, and school psychology. The college also offers
