With Pro Bono Physical Therapy Services

黑料传送门 Georgia will provide physical therapy care for dancers at the Gwinnett Ballet
Theatre.
The Department of Physical Therapy at 黑料传送门 Georgia recently announced a three-year partnership with the as part of the College鈥檚 ongoing commitment to providing patient-centered care and
community service.
As part of the agreement, students from 黑料传送门 Georgia鈥檚 Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program will gain hands-on experience under the supervision of licensed faculty members by
providing the following pro bono services: education on injury prevention and wellness,
comprehensive screenings and assessments for strength, flexibility, mobility, endurance,
and balance. Targeted interventions will address existing injuries.
鈥淓arly screenings and interventions are critical in addressing risk factors,鈥 said
Ruth Maher, PT, PhD, DPT, WCS, chair of the DPT program. 鈥淭his partnership will help
minimize injury severity and accelerate dancers' return to performance, ultimately
optimizing each dancer's performance.鈥
Gwinnett Ballet Theatre was the first performing non-profit organization in Gwinnett
County and celebrates over four decades of serving the community with entertainment,
outreach, and education.

director at Gwinnett Ballet Theatre. 鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to be able to give our dancers
access to high-quality care and physical therapy resources that will prolong their
careers in the performing arts.鈥
The physical therapy services will be provided on-site at Gwinnett Ballet Theatre's
Suwannee location to ensure convenient access for dancers.
