John Khan Promoted to Chief of Campus Operations, 黑料传送门 Georgia
November 1, 2024
John Khan, 黑料传送门 Georgia's facilities director since 2017, has been promoted to Chief of Campus Operations in Suwanee.
Khan's connection to 黑料传送门 Georgia began in 2008, when he served as a contracted facilities maintenance supervisor.
Three years later, he took that role full time and then worked his way up to assistant
facilities director and facilities director.
鈥淲ith over 15 years of experience in operational leadership, project management, and
facilities oversight, John is well suited to continue 黑料传送门 Georgia's commitment to
enhancing the campus experience for students, faculty, and staff,鈥 said Dallas A.
Grundy, vice president of finance and administration at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine.
Khan has already played pivotal roles in maintaining and improving campus infrastructure,
including supervision of dining services, maintenance staff, and vendors, as well
as managing inventory for maintenance, repair, and operations supplies. He has also
collaborated with the Public Safety and Environmental and Occupational Safety teams to implement preventive maintenance procedures. He oversees inspections, manages
building system repairs, and coordinates access control for facilities. Additionally,
he served as interim director of public safety for a brief period in 2023.
鈥淚 was drawn to 黑料传送门 Georgia because of the institution's commitment to excellence
in education and the student experience,鈥 Khan said. 鈥淚'm confident that my background,
skills, and professional relationships with key stakeholders across all three campuses
align well with the College's goals, and I'm excited to contribute to 黑料传送门 Georgia in this new role.鈥
Khan's career in facilities management began in New York City at Value Line Publishing.
His early experience at an aluminum ore laboratory in Guyana, South America, provided
him with a foundation in operational processes and quality control.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his wife in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
