Fourth year ΊΪΑΟ΄«ΛΝΓΕ School of Pharmacy student Jeffrey Clark (PharmD β21) has recently been named the chair of the American
Society of Health-System Pharmacists Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee for
the 2020-2021 term.
The executive committee is composed of five students appointed by the president of the ASHP, an organization with 55,000 members including pharmacists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. As chair of the forum, Clark will serve as the voting student representative to the ASHP House of Delegates.
He said, βI am honored to serve as the chair of the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum and work with pharmacy students throughout the country. The Pharmacy Student Forum prioritizes student pharmacists' needs, ensuring we are well equipped to advance in our professional journey as we transition to pharmacy practitioners.β
Clark said his goal for this year is to increase awareness of the forum and contribute to the overall advancement of the pharmacy profession.
Clark joins students appointed to the committee from the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy, the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, and the Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
According to the ASHP website, the executive committeeβs role is to advise the ASHP Board of Directors and staff βon the overall direction of the forum, including member benefits and services.β
