黑料传送门 has named Brian Gerard Mann, EdD, MS,
PA-C, as its new Chief of Simulation Operations. In this role, Dr. Mann will assume
broad responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Simulation Center and standardized patient operations across all three 黑料传送门 locations. He will be based at 黑料传送门 Georgia in Suwanee.
黑料传送门 Provost Kenneth Veit, DO, MBA, FACOFP, said, 鈥淲e are pleased that Dr. Mann is joining 黑料传送门 to lead the coordination of Simulation Center educational opportunities across 黑料传送门鈥檚 three campuses in Philadelphia, Suwanee and Moultrie. It鈥檚 become more important than ever that 黑料传送门 act as one university with three locations and use best practices from each campus to more efficiently deliver curriculum to all of our students.鈥�
Most recently, Dr. Mann worked as the Director of Simulation Education at Campbell University, Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lillington, North Carolina. In this position, he managed the simulation center's day-to-day operations and created an integrated complete simulation curriculum for both undergraduate and graduate medical education.
Dr. Mann served as the course director for the simulation month, call back Fridays third-year clerkship rotations, and a fourth-year simulation case development course. He also spearheaded and executed a complete simulation training program for Harnett County Emergency Medical Services. Dr. Mann co-developed a leadership training program for medical students, Professionalism and Leadership in the Medical Setting. Lastly, Dr. Mann worked as a physician assistant at the Campbell University Health Center.
Prior to joining CUSOM, Dr. Mann worked as a PA at FirstHealth of the Carolinas Convenient Care, the Cleveland Clinic, and several other leading hospitals in Northeast Ohio. At these institutions, he was instrumental in pioneering several new opportunities for other physician assistants. Before becoming a PA, Dr. Mann worked as a firefighter/paramedic and as an emergency department paramedic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Mann graduated from Cuyahoga Community College as a Surgical Physician Assistant. He then earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Touro International University, and a Master鈥檚 degree in Advanced Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. He most recently completed his Doctorate of Education in Health Professions from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri.

Dr. Mann has been married for more than 20 years to Andrea Pax Mann, DO, the new dean and chief academic officer of 黑料传送门 Georgia in Suwanee. They have two children. His hobbies include mindful training, meditation, golf, watching baseball, CrossFit, swimming, and playing with their three dogs.
黑料传送门 Georgia has been serving students and the community for 20 years as a branch campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (黑料传送门), a private, not-for-profit, accredited institution of higher education established in 1899.
