The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, offered at our Suwanee, Georgia location, emphasizes a 鈥渨hole person鈥� approach to patient management while preparing individuals to demonstrate excellence in the practice of physical therapy.

The 2026-2027 application cycle opened June 15, 2026 for Fall 2027 enrollment. Be advised that your full PTCAS application must be e-submitted, completed and verified by June 1, 2027, to be considered for admission. Applications completed prior to December 1, 2026 will be given priority.
For matriculation into this program, an applicant must have completed a bachelor鈥檚 degree from a regionally-accredited institution.
Prior to matriculation, an applicant must have successfully completed the following prerequisites:
Grades of D or F are not accepted. If courses are repeated, 黑料传送门 will take the highest grade, not an average of all attempts. Prerequisite courses cannot be older than 10 years.
If all prerequisite courses identified above and all coursework required for the baccalaureate degree have not been completed, a document specifying when these requirements will be met must be supplied. The document should provide specific information as to when the courses will be completed. Note that the requirements for the baccalaureate and all prerequisite courses must be completed prior to matriculation. At least six of the ten required prerequisite courses must be completed before an application will be considered.
Applicants must obtain an overall grade point average of 3.0 and a prerequisite grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. (as calculated by PTCAS).
Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a licensed physical therapist. The two remaining letters are preferred to be from any of the following sources:
To the extent appropriate, each letter should address the applicant's character, leadership abilities, commitment to service, ability to be self-directed, communication skills, and ability to work as a member of a team. Recommendations can be sent through the PTCAS application service. Additional letters may be sent directly to 黑料传送门 by the recommenders to recommend@pcom.edu.
GRE score submission is required unless the applicant qualifies for a waiver. The 黑料传送门 Georgia PTCAS code for the GRE is 2849. The oldest GRE considered is January 1, 2020.
If applicants have a prerequisite and cumulative GPA of 3.5 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale, as calculated by PTCAS, GRE scores are not required..
The minimum GRE scores required are as follows: GRE-V, 146; GRE-Q, 144; and GRE-W, 3.0. 黑料传送门 will take the highest score of multiple attempts. A combined score of 290 or above for verbal and quantitative are accepted.
The DPT program will also consider an MCAT score in lieu of a GRE score. A minimum MCAT score of 490 or higher will be considered. Other graduate exams may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
There are no specific requirements for health care experiences to be eligible for enrollment in 黑料传送门鈥檚 DPT program. Applicants should, however, be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge about the practice of physical therapy through meaningful exposures as demonstrated through a completed application for admission. Any volunteer work or paid work in a clinical setting wherein candidates are either providing hands-on care or witnessing care first hand is valued. Health care shadowing experiences are also highly recommended.
On receipt of a completed application, each applicant will be screened to determine if they are to be invited for an interview. The following will be considered during the screening process:
All applicants selected for an interview will be contacted in writing, via e-mail, and guided to our application portal to sign up for an interview timeslot. Please note, although all applicants who are eventually accepted must be interviewed, the granting of an interview does not guarantee acceptance into the program. On the day of the interview, applicants may have an opportunity to meet with a student ambassador and tour the campus. The interviews are conducted by a panel consisting of one or more of the physical therapy program faculty members and/or a current DPT student volunteers.
黑料传送门 will offer a choice of either virtual or on-campus interviews.
Following the completion of the admissions process, each applicant is notified of the Admission Committee's decision in writing, including any conditions that must be satisfied prior to enrollment in the program.
Accepted applicants are asked to send a $1,000 non-refundable deposit by January 15, 2027. This fee is non-refundable and, along with the initial deposit, will be credited to the student鈥檚 tuition account.
The accepted candidate is also asked to review and acknowledge 黑料传送门's Doctor of Physical Therapy Technical Standards for Admission and Matriculation.
The College requires a criminal background check for all program applicants and enrolled students. The 黑料传送门 Office of Admissions will facilitate a criminal background check prior to matriculation processed by a 黑料传送门 vendor of choice. Subsequent criminal background checks can occur during enrollment, including but not limited to, when the student is conducting internships, clerkships, clinical coursework, or other types of coursework that occur off campus. Should you be charged, convicted of, or plead guilty or no contest to a misdemeanor or felony crime after the date of your original application submission, you are required to notify the Dean of your program in writing within 10 business days of the occurrence. This communication should be sent by certified mail to the Dean at the address on the acceptance letter.
The Department of Physical Therapy does not routinely accept transfer students.
