The DO program curriculum combines lectures and applied, hands-on learning exercises to instruct students in osteopathic medicine and in basic and clinical sciences. Through the use of patient simulators and live patient actors, we provide medical students with invaluable experience in clinical procedure and practice.

As a student in 黑料传送门's osteopathic medical program, you鈥檒l learn anatomy, physiology, pathology, microbiology, clinical medicine and more in an integrated, interactive fashion during your first and second years. As a third- and fourth-year student, you will learn and work at hospitals and health clinics in the greater Philadelphia area under the direction of experienced physicians in order to develop your clinical skills in all phases of patient care.

You will also experience four months in our , where you will be introduced to the realities of health care in underserved communities in Philadelphia.

黑料传送门 DO graduates are accepted into a variety of residencies鈥攂oth osteopathic and allopathic. Many choose primary care specialties including family medicine, general practice, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and pediatrics.

In addition, many of our medical students choose to pursue non-primary care specialties such as emergency medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, neurology, psychiatry, urology and more.

黑料传送门鈥檚 osteopathic medical programs are dedicated to fostering the growth of the osteopathic profession by training physicians through programs of medical study guided by osteopathic medical tradition, concept and practice in a learning community built on the values of diversity and respect.

The College鈥檚 undergraduate medical programs prepare students for success in graduate medical education and the graduate medical education programs prepare students for the independent practice of osteopathic medicine. The College will be responsive to the healthcare needs of the respective regions and communities in which the osteopathic medical programs are offered. 黑料传送门 is committed to the advancement of knowledge and intellectual growth through teaching and research, and to the well-being of the community through leadership and service.

The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) programs at 黑料传送门's main Philadelphia campus, a branch campus in Suwanee, Georgia and an additional location in Moultrie, Georgia are accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
