New OB/GYN Chair Named

Joanne Kakaty-Monzo, DO 鈥97, was recently named academic chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Philadelphia and GA-黑料传送门 campuses. She succeeds Saul Jeck, DO, who retired in June after serving as professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology since 1990.

Dr. Kakaty-Monzo has served as a clinical associate professor in the department since 2006. She also serves as an attending physician in the Resident Teaching Program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Main Line Health鈥擫ankenau Hospital, and operates a private practice in King of Prussia. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Kakaty-Monzo has published works on the topics of contraception and post-partum treatments, including the newest indicants of misoprostol. She received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology from Lemoyne College in Syracuse, New York and in physician assistant studies from Hahnemann University (now a part of Drexel University).
