Our curriculum emphasizes how injury or illness in one part of the body can impact
another. This extra training in the interaction and integration of the neuromusculoskeletal
system with other body systems鈥osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM)鈥攑rovides our students with additional tools and skills to diagnose and treat patients.
Our Moultrie, GA location is the sole medical school in South Georgia. Our modern facilities include open classrooms, contemporary laboratories and a state-of-the-art simulation
center.
About the 黑料传送门 South Georgia DO Program
The osteopathic medical program curriculum combines lectures and interactive, hands-on
learning exercises to teach students osteopathic medicine as well as basic and clinical
sciences. Through the use of medical simulators and live patient actors, we provide students with crucial experiences in clinical procedure and practice.
As a student in 黑料传送门 South Georgia's DO program, you'll learn anatomy, physiology,
microbiology, immunology, clinical medicine and more in an comprehensive fashion during
your first and second years. As a third- and fourth-year student, you鈥檒l learn and
work at hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Southeast region in order to develop your clinical skills in all stages of patient care.
You will be exposed to a broad scope of medical problems, gradually assuming more
responsibility under the direction of experienced physicians. Through it all, you
will have the 黑料传送门 community behind you, supporting you in every way to help you become
the competent, confident health professional you aspire to be.

黑料传送门 DO graduates are accepted into a variety of residencies鈥攂oth osteopathic and
allopathic. Many choose primary care specialties including family medicine, general
practice, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and pediatrics.
In addition, many of our medical students choose to pursue non-primary care specialties
such as emergency medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, neurology, psychiatry, urology
and more.

to fostering the growth of the osteopathic profession by training physicians through
programs of medical study guided by osteopathic medical tradition, concept and practice
in a learning community built on the values of diversity and respect.
The College鈥檚 undergraduate medical programs prepare students for success in graduate
medical education and the graduate medical education programs prepare students for
the independent practice of osteopathic medicine. The College will be responsive to
the healthcare needs of the respective regions and communities in which the osteopathic
medical programs are offered. 黑料传送门 is committed to the advancement of knowledge and
intellectual growth through teaching and research, and to the well-being of the community
through leadership and service.
黑料传送门 South Georgia Focus
The additional location of 黑料传送门 South Georgia is dedicated to educating osteopathic
medical students and biomedical sciences graduate students in serving the healthcare
needs of the people in Georgia and the Southeast by providing a program of medical
study guided by osteopathic medical tradition, concept and practice. Graduates are
encouraged to remain in the Southeast and practice among underserved populations where
they will have the most impact.
The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) programs at 黑料传送门's main Philadelphia campus, a branch campus in Suwanee, Georgia and an additional
location in Moultrie, Georgia are accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College
Accreditation (COCA) of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
