Dr. Ghilzai is currently at 黑料传送门 School of Pharmacy in Suwanee, Georgia, holding the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs position. Dr. Ghilzai also served as the Founding Dean at the West Coast University School of Pharmacy in Los Angeles, California, for about 2 years. Earlier, Dr. Ghilzai served as an Assistant Professor at Chicago College of Pharmacy, Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, and Associate Profession and full Professor at LECOM School of Pharmacy in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he taught and oversaw the School鈥檚 faculty development as Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs at both campuses (Erie, PA and Bradenton, Florida).
Dr. Ghilzai has been an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) member for almost 24 years. He was appointed to lead the AACP-Teachers of Pharmaceutics Section (TOPS) curriculum committee and contributed in the 2007 AACP-CAPE Supplemental educational outcomes in Pharmaceutics discipline. He was also appointed to chair the AACP-TOPS Committee to review the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) Standards and Principles. He led the roundtable discussions on 鈥淓arly Screening to Identify Students as at Risk Academically", 鈥淕etting Educational Research Published,鈥� 鈥淚ntegrating Students into Research,鈥� 鈥淎cademic Outcomes in 3-year vs. 4-year Pharmacy Programs,鈥� and 鈥淰alue Based Faculty Workload Assessment鈥� in the AACP annual meetings. He also served on the content advisory committee of AAPS (American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists) Newsmagazine.
Dr. Ghilzai has participated in and contributed to several AACP Curriculum, Assessment, TOP, Laboratory Instructors and Global Education SIG/Section projects and co-authored the SIG Curriculum Section: A Curriculum Committee Toolkit for Addressing the 2013 CAPE Outcomes. He has served as an AACP New Investigator Award reviewer. He has also served on AACP committees (Institutional Research and Assessment Committee - IRAC and Council of Deans Mentoring Taskforce). Additionally, Dr. Ghilzai has assisted pharmacy schools outside of the United States (India, UAE, Kuwait and Oman) with curriculum and faculty development. Dr. Ghilzai is an AACP Academic Fellow and completed Academic Leadership Fellows program in 2010. As an ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education) site team reviewer, he has done several U.S. PharmD program accreditation site visits. He serves on International Journal Editorial Boards and reviews MS and PhD dissertations.
